This James Bay project in Victoria was a wonderful project. The clients’ mandate was to fully update the kitchen, floors, paint and two bathrooms. By the time we finished our initial walk-through, I knew we needed to add an arch between the living and dining room.  The house was built in the 90’s and needed some updates but I also wanted to have a nod to tradition. Adding the arch really added the charm they were after. For the kitchen, we used warm wood tones, a creamy white and a beautiful green for the island. The homeowner is a real chef so it was very rewarding to work with Urbana Kitchens to bring her wishes to fruition. The bathrooms were also taken down to the studs and updated with timeless materials. We updated the fireplace with a new gas fireplace and Venetian plaster.  The new warm wood floors and fresh paint finalized this timeless design.
